From the Children

Tell me one good thing about Ghilgai…

…a lovely environment… lots of trees… it’s good to be here.

…it’s got good people…

…it’s small and nice and calming…

…the teachers are kind… you can understand what they’re talking about…

…the community is great (great?) yes, it’s very caring and forgiving, everyone.

…at my old school the work was hard and tricky. This is good.

…you know every-one…

…there are lots of bushes and there are good places to play and on hot days you can sit in the shade…

…I love the crayons… I love to draw with them, they help me do my best drawing.

…it’s got lots of trees and a lot of space and I like it how you have one teacher all the way through. (Class Teacher)

…oh, buddies that look after you…

…the teachers are nice, they are supportive of ya’…

…you don’t have screens in your face, I’m sick of them.

…the stories…where do you get them?…

…Weland (Weland the Smith/Class 4 Literature) I never wanted to leave him…

…oh (grinning broadly)… that would be plants and kindness.

It’s a good place, if I’m anxious I know I can to people who will help me… somehow.

It’s great to sing with every-one – you know – our sharings (Whole School Sharing each Friday morning) …it’s good to see every-one and sing together…

…every-one’s friendly…
